GlowTouch Technologies to Sponsor Louisville NAWBO Event
LOUISVILLE – March 5, 2014- GlowTouch Technologies, an award-winning IT services firm providing custom application development and technology integration services to businesses around the world, announced today their sponsorship of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) through the NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) Louisville Foundation.
YEA! is a yearlong program that transforms middle and high school students into entrepreneurial success stories. Participants in the program develop skills to launch a business, learn about why businesses succeed or fail, and are able to interact and learn from local entrepreneurs. The program is in its second year in the Louisville community and is quickly growing in popularity due to generous community support.
Within the past seven years, the national YEA! program has graduated close to 600 students, whose work in the program has formed almost 450 businesses. Upon graduation, 20% of YEA! graduates start a second business or nonprofit as a result of the skills they have gained through their involvement in this program.
Vidya Ravichandran, President of GlowTouch Technologies, will be sitting on the Investor Panel as a sponsor of the event. The role of an investor is to listen and assess the students start-up ideas, decide upon the dollar amount each student is awarded and eventually choose a winner who will go on to compete in New York.
